Policies

In keeping with the HOG Chapter Charter, the purpose of the Milton Chapter is to:

  1. To promote responsible Harley-Davidson® motorcycling activities for Harley Owners Group® members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging participation in other H.O.G.® events.
  2. Conduct Chapter activities and operations in a manner consistent with a family-oriented, non-political, non-religious philosophy.
  3. Strive to develop a closer relationship between the Harley-Davidson® rider and our sponsoring, authorized Harley-Davidson® Dealership - Mississauga Harley-Davidson

With everything we do, we are guided by and uphold the following priniciples:

  • Be Safe
  • Be Alert
  • Be Aware
  • Use Common Sense
  • Be Courteous
  • Ride a safe ride!
  • HAVE FUN!

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol or drug consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Milton Chapter #9092 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. This is a "zero tolerance policy" and it is the responsibility of each Milton Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy.

*NOTE:  Specific to riding events, the Lead Road Captain will ensure to announce that the ride is officially over to let you know when it is appropriate to consume alcoholic beverages (if that is your preference). In some cases this may be prior to the final destination or before returning to the start point and at this point the Road Captains will no longer lead the ride and all riders will be responsible for riding individually from that time on.

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring on Milton Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
